BORDER ENCOUNTER
[Tres Rios co-hosts Border Encounters with
Abara for PC(USA) congregations]
Sign up today for a Border Encounter as we lean into Narrative Change.
Tres Rios, in partnership with Abara, invites you to participate in Border Encounters, also known as "listening trips." These three-day educational immersion experiences are designed for students, faith leaders, and diverse groups to foster meaningful connections beyond the headlines.
These encounters offer an invitation to listen, learn, and reflect on the profound lessons the border can teach us about our identities and our roles in our communities. This is not border tourism; it’s an opportunity to engage with the border in a way that re-humanizes our relationships and broadens our perspectives.
Through these encounters, we aim to hear differently by connecting across divides. Our goal is to sit with our neighbors, unite in one voice, and walk alongside those who journey long distances in search of refuge, safety, and wholeness. Join us in this transformative experience to better understand and support those at the border.
